GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Belhaven Baseball team was named among the recipients of the 2025-26 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award presented by Sports Attack and published by the American Baseball Coaches Association. Belhaven is among 800 schools to receive this recognition across high school and all levels of collegiate baseball.
From the ABCA
"The award honors ABCA member programs that posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year. To qualify, a program was required to meet the following criteria: Be a high school or college baseball program, have a head coach who is a current ABCA member, post a minimum cumulative team GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the 2025-26 academic year."
Belhaven couples their academic success this year with another successful campaign on the diamond that saw them return to the NCAA Tournament for a second consecutive season. The Blazers were co-champions of the CCS Regular Season and finished as runners-up in the CCS Tournament before landing an at-large bid into the Marshall Regional.
