Box Score
Jackson, MS-The Belhaven baseball team was upset 2-1 by Tougaloo College in a non-conference contest Wednesday afternoon at Smith-Wills Stadium. Paul Moreno that plated
Jimmy Gilford from third. Gilford had induced a walk earlier in the inning, stole second base, and went to third on a throwing error by catcher Justin Neese. Tougaloo tied the game at 1-1 in the third on a two out RBI double by William Walker and then in the eighth the Bulldogs took advantage of a
Tom Wertz throwing error to plate the winning score. Dustin Porter reached on the error to begin the inning and crossed the plate on a two out single by Dustin Triplett. Belhaven put the tying run on second base in the ninth, but could not come up with a hit to drive it in.
