Madison, MS-The Belhaven men's golf team finished 12th at the Lake Caroline Invitational hosted by Millsaps, Mississippi College, and Belhaven University on Monday and Tuesday. The Blazers had a two day score of 661 finishing above Sewanee and Louisiana College. Meridian Community College won the event with a score of 585 in some difficult windy course conditions.

Brad Blakney was the Belhaven's top finisher with a two day total of 163 and finished tied for 53rd overall for the tournament. Dunn Johnson was one shot behind Blakney at 164 which was good for a tie for 57th. Tyler Berry checked in with a tournament score of 165, Wilkie Hayes tallied a two day score of 169, and Kyle Gregory rounded out the Blazer golfers with a score of 204. Arvid Bengtsson of Shorter University and Paul Aube of UT-Tyler both shot even par (144) and finished the tournament in a tie for first place.

Belhaven will close out the fall schedule on Monday and Tuesday when compete in the University of Mobile Fall Classic at Heron Lakes Golf Club in Mobile, AL.
