Final Results
Destin, FL-The Belhaven men's golf team placed 14th out of 14 teams at the Indian Bayou Classic hosted by the University of North Alabama on Monday and Tuesday afternoon. The Blazers posted a team score of 642 for the two round event and was 43 points better than the Southern Wesleyan University Invitational. North Alabama took first place in the tournament with a score of 580 and edged out Delta State University by two strokes.
Wilkie Hayes was Belhaven's top finisher with a two day score of 147 tying him for ninth in the overall individual standings. Hayes posted a score of 76 in round one and shot a one under par 71 in round two of the tournament.
Brad Blakney and Dunn Johnson were second and third respectively for Belhaven with scores of 160 and 164.
Tyler Berry fired a 171 and
Kyle Gregory shot 207 to round out the field for the Blazers.
Belhaven will hit the course again on October 25th and 26th as they host the Lake Caroline Invitational along with Mississippi College and Millsaps College.
