Belhaven University Athletics

One of this week's Cellular South Athletes of the Week is Craig Dean of the Belhaven baseball team. Dean compiled a .600 batting average in four games against Mississippi College and Spring Hill College leading the Blazers to a 3-1 record in those four games. Dean hit a game winning three run homer in the top of the ninth inning to secure a 13-10 victory over Mississippi College that claimed the 2010 Maloney Series Championship. Dean went 9 for 15 at the plate with a double, home run, and 6 RBI's in the four games. For the season, Dean is hitting .449 with 42 RBI's in 2010.
