One of this week's C-Spire Blazer Athletes of the Week is Regena Jackson of the women's basketball team. Jackson, a senior guard from Denham, LA, had another big week averaging 34 points for the Blazers while matching a career and season high 42 points against William Carey. Jackson also had 42 points in a game earlier this season against Faulkner, which is the second most points in a game in school history. Jackson currently leads the NAIA in points per game at 23.7 and is second in the nation in total scoring with 569 points. On defense, she is 15th in the country in total steals with 68. Jackson was also named the SSAC Player of the Week for the second time this season.
