Belhaven University Athletics

One of this week's "Cellular South Athletes of the Week" is Christina Jaques of the Blazer softball team. Jaques, a senior from Orange, TX, had a solid week leading Belhaven to a 5-1 record which included three SSAC victories. Jaques collected 12 hits including two home runs and triple. She also stole seven more bases and has 38 on the season. Jaques leads the team with a .452 batting average and is third on the team in RBI's with 43. She also paces the team and is second in the nation in total hits with 75. She is fourth in the NAIA in stolen bases. Jaques was also named the SSAC Player of the Week.
