JACKSON, Miss. - Adrian Sanchez had a hand in the scoring in each of Belhaven's three wins last week. On Tuesday, the Collegiate Conference of the South named the senior forward its Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

Sanchez totaled three goals and an assist during the Blazers' 3-0 stretch, accounting for seven points. He converted a penalty kick in Belhaven's 9-0 win over Tougaloo, then took control of Friday's match at Lyon. With the Blazers leading 1-0 at halftime, Sanchez scored twice in the first four minutes after the break to put a 3-1 victory firmly in hand.

He closed the week at Hendrix on Sunday, setting up Gabriel Glatt's 83rd-minute goal in a 4-2 win. Sanchez also led Belhaven with seven shots in the match as the Blazers claimed their third straight victory.

The Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, native has started all eight of Belhaven's matches this season. He leads the team with 21 shots and ranks second with four goals and nine points. Seven of those nine points came during last week's winning run.

Belhaven returns to the road Wednesday, Sept. 23, to face Rhodes in Memphis. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
