KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Belhaven Men's Soccer team earned the 2025-26 United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award, the organization announced Friday.

The Blazers were one of 326 men's programs recognized nationwide after posting a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the academic year. United Soccer Coaches honored 777 college programs overall, with 175 schools having both their men's and women's teams recognized.

The national recognition follows a strong showing on the CCS Academic All-Conference Team. 20 members of the men's soccer program earned the honor last month after maintaining a GPA of at least 3.30 during the academic year.

Those 20 selections were part of a conference-leading group of 137 Belhaven student-athletes to receive CCS Academic All-Conference honors. It marked the university's highest total since the conference began presenting the award in 2022-23.

Belhaven finished 10-6-4 and advanced to the semifinals of the CCS Tournament.

The Blazers reached double-digit wins in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2014 and 2015. Seven players earned All-CCS recognition, led by Danny Bahena, who was named the conference's Goalkeeper of the Year for the second consecutive season.
