LOUISVILLE, Ky. -
Ellie Jones of the Belhaven Softball team has been named a First Team All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as announced by the organization at the NCAA Division III Championship banquet in Illinois.
Jones' selection marks the second NFCA All-America selection of her career and her first time being named a First Team All-American having earned a Second Team nod in 2022 as a freshman.
The Mississippi native put together one of the best seasons in program history for the Blazers this campaign as she helped lead the Blazers to a fifth straight NCAA Regional appearance. Jones started all 41 games for the Blazers and topped the program in nearly every offensive statistcal category while pacing the CCS with a 1.510 OPS, .939 slugging percentage and 13 home runs.
Jones posted a .519 average this spring and posted a .579 on-base percentage with a .939 slugging percentage which all represent the highest single-season marks in program history. Jones finished the year in the top five in the CCS in hits, RBI, doubles and walks earning the league's Player of the Year award.
With her 2025 All-America selection, Jones joins
Allie Gordon and
Kennedy Carruth in combining for eight NFCA Division III All-America selections since 2021 and the 20th NFCA All-America selection all-time for the program across NCAA and NAIA competition.
Jones also joins a prestigious list as just the seventh player in program history to earn multiple NFCA All-American honors and the eighth to be recognized with All-America First Team status by the organization.
