JACKSON - Belhaven Blazers Men's Soccer looks to take advantage of their home field for the next two upcoming matches against the LeTourneau Yellowjackets on September 5th, and the ETBU Tigers on September 7th.
The Blazers are coming back from a successful weekend away as they upset the No. 20 ranked team Emory in Atlanta as well as earning a draw against Oglethorpe over the weekend as well.
Goals came easy for the Blazers in the 3-1 victory over Emory as three separate players each scored goals. Devin Ryan scored first as Avery Anders and Koby Rhone followed later. No goals were scored in the Blazers' matchup with Oglethorpe, but the Blazers held a stifling back line as they kept the Stormy Petrels scoreless.
LeTourneau comes in at 0-2 with a pair losses at the No. 11 ranked Calvin as well as Hope. East Texas Baptist currently sits 1-0 on the year with a previous win at home against the University of Dallas.
The Blazers hold a 6-2-2 overall record against LeTourneau with the previous matchup a Blazers' win in 2023. Belhaven also holds a 7-3-2 record against ETBU with theprevious matchup ending in a draw in 2023.
Kickoff against LeTourneau is set for 4:00 PM at the Belhaven Bowl Stadium. The Blazers will then face the Tigers of ETBU at 3:00 PM at The Bowl.
