ATLANTA - Isaiah "Eddie" Tye of the Belhaven Men's Soccer team was named the Collegiate Conference of the South Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the league on Tuesday.

Tye helped the Blazers to a 5-0 rout of Berea College on Saturday in what was a 1-1-0 week for the Belhaven Men. Tye came on as a substitute in the match and provided an assist, the first goal contribution of his young Belhaven career.

The Little Rock native assisted the Blazers' final goal, scored by CJ Koppeis, en route the clean sheet victory. Defensively, Tye was strong as well helping the team to their fourth clean sheet through five matches.

Tye and the Blazers return to action on Saturday as they take on Sewanee in a neutral site match. Kickoff against the Tigers is set for 3:00 PM.
