LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Four members of the Belhaven Softball team were named to All-Region VI teams by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as released by the organization on Friday. Kennedy Carruth, Allie Gordon, Madi Miller and Katie Jo Richardson all earned recognition across the three All-Region teams.

Kennedy Carruth was named to the NFCA All-Region VI First Team, the 4th All-Region selection of her career and her 2nd straight Region VI First Team nod. Carruth, who was named the Collegiate Conference of the South Pitcher of the Year for a 2nd straight season, has put together a stellar campaign in the circle and helped lead Belhaven to another NCAA Regional appearance. Carruth sits at 22-3 with a 1.10 ERA and a 0.77 WHIP across 31 appearances this season. The Louisiana native has racked up 17 complete games and struck out 197 hitters in 165.1 innings on the year.

Allie Gordon was named to the NFCA All-Region VI First Team alongside Carruth, the 4th NFCA All-Region selection of her career. Gordon continues to cement her legacy as one of the best hitters in the country and is hitting an even .400 through 44 starts this season with a team leading 1.258 OPS. Gordon ranks among the national leaders in home runs and RBI with 13 homers and 57 runs driven in so far this year. Gordon also ranks atop the program's all-time leaders in nearly all hitting categories and became the NCAA Division III all-time games played leader this season.

Madi Miller was named to the NFCA All-Region VI Third Team, the 2nd straight season she has earned that honor. The Blazers' center fielder is hitting .355 this season with a .944 OPS as the leadoff hitter in the Belhaven lineup. Miller has racked up a team-high seven triples and leads the club in stolen bases on the year with 20 in 23 attempts. Miller was named to the All-CCS First Team earlier this month as a standout on both sides of the ball. 

Katie Jo Richardson joins Miller on the NFCA All-Region VI Third Team, the 1st All-Region selection of her Belhaven career. Richardson has had a breakout season for the Blazers in 2024 leading the team at the plate with a .434 average across 42 appearances and 36 starts. Richardson has anchored the middle part of the Blazers' lineup as a designated player and has racked up nine doubles, two home runs and 30 runs driven in. The Alabama native was named an All-CCS First Team earlier this month.
