MARYVILLE, Tenn. - The Belhaven Women's Soccer team looks to capture their first Collegiate Conference of the South title on Saturday when they take on top-seeded Maryville at 1:00 PM CT in Maryville, Tennessee.
The Blazers punched their ticket to the final with Wednesday's 1-0 win at No. 2 Piedmont. Belhaven found the breakthough as
Nneka Udeh scored her eighth goal of the season in the 57th minute to lift the Green and Gold to the road victory.
Maryville ran the table in the conference slate during the regular season, going a perfect 8-0 to secure the regular season title for a third straight season. After earning a bye into the Semifinals, The Scots scored four second-half goals to take down Asbury, 4-2.
Sierra Lee was named the CCS Offensive Player of the Year and has tallied a league-leading 17 goals, including three in Wednesday's win over Asbury. Hannah Smoot, Anabelle Procter, and Elle Fair joined Lee on the All-CCS First Team after impressive 2024 campaigns.
The championship matchup will feature the top scoring offense against the top scoring defense as the Scots lead the conference in goals scored with 59, while the Blazers rank first with just 16 goals allowed.
