DEMOREST, Ga. - The Belhaven Women's Soccer travels to Demorest, Georgia on Wednesday for a CCS Semifinal match against the No. 2 seed Piedmont Lions. Kickoff is set for 5:00 PM CT.
The Blazers cruised past LaGrange by a score of 4-1 in the opening round of the CCS Tournament to reach Wednesday's match.
Micah Benson scored the opener just 30 seconds in, and back-to-back goals from
Nneka Udeh and
Ally Davis pushed Belhaven in front 3-1 at the half.
Jenny Satcher fired home the Blazers' fourth early in the second 45 to seal the victory.
Piedmont finished the regular season with a record of 7-5-4 and 5-2-1 in conference play. In the previous matchup this season, the Lions used a 73rd minute goal to grab a 2-1 win over Belhaven back on October 9th in Demorest.
Three Lions were named to the All-CCS teams. Sierra Judson was named to the First Team after tallying a team-leading six goals and an assist in 2024. Sophie Wells was tabbed an All-CCS First Team defender after anchoring the Lions' backline in 16 contests. Paige Kluba was the lone Lion on the All-CCS Second Team after recording five goals and three assists as a defender.
Top-seeded Maryville takes on Asbury on Wednesday at 6:00 PM for the other spot in Saturday's CCS title match.
