DALTON, Ga. - The Belhaven Golf team wrapped up their first day at the CCS Men's Golf Championship and
Will Justice led the way for the Blazers who sit one shot out 5th after the first day.
Justice sits tied for 13th among individuals after the first 18 holes posting a 78 (+6) in the opening round. Justice started off his day in strong fashion with a birdie on the starting hole and was able to remain fairly steady including picking up two more birdies on the back nine.
Following Justice is
Luke Couch who currently sits 22nd after recording an 83 (+11) on the opening day.
Jake Shmonov follows closely behind Couch in 25th with an 85 (+13) in the first round while
Andrew Scherer and
Gannon Williams both sit t-28th after each recording an opening round 88 (+16).
As a team the Blazers shot 334 in the first round and sit one shot behind 5th place Covenant ahead of Tuesday's second round.
Gannon Williams is set to tee off first for the Blazers on day two with an 8:00 AM ET start. The remainder of the Belhaven team will tee off in ten minute increments from that point.
