SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Belhaven Golf team concluded its participation in the Port City Invitational on Tuesday. The Blazers finished 15th in their second tournament of the spring slate.
Jake Shmonov sat atop the Blazers' leaderboard, firing a total score of 237 (+24) to finish T-36th.
Luke Couch finished a shot behind Shmonov at 238 (+25). Couch's second-round 76 (+5) marked the best individual round in the event.
Will Justice wrapped up his tournament in a tie for 58th with a score of 243 (+30).
Andrew Scherer fired a final round 83 (+12) to finish at 250 (+37) for the tournament.
Gannon Williams saved his best round for last with a third-round 81 (+9) to finish the Port City Invitational at 260 (+47).
Couch placed among the leaders in birdies with eight, while Williams and Scherer each played the Par-5s at 4-under which ranked them in the Top 10.
Belhaven will return to the course on March 20th for the opening day of the Hal Sutton Invitational in Bossier City, Louisiana.
