ATLANTA, Ga.- Five members of the Belhaven Men's Soccer team were named to the CCS All-Conference teams on Wednesday with three being named to the first team and two being named to the second team.
Max Rudolph was named to the All-CCS First Team along with being named as the CCS Goalkeeper of the Year award following a stellar year in net for the Blazers. Rudolph rounded out the year with 46 saves and moved to second all time in career saves at Belhaven with 273 across his five years. Rudolph also posted an impressive GAA percentage with .82 goals allowed per match on the season. Rudolph was also in the top 15 in the country in shutouts with eight while Belhaven as a whole sits 10th in the nation with nine clean sheets.
Lex Rogers was named to the All-CCS First Team as well for his defensive efforts in a stingy Belhaven back line. Rogers was a key centerpiece for the Blazers defensively and led the team in minutes played with 1,315 total across all competitions . Rogers also led the Blazers in goals with four alongside
Courtland Williams and recorded two assists on the year. Rogers had arguably his best performance of his career this season with a hat trick and a clean sheet in the Blazers 4-0 victory over LaGrange in October. Rogers was also named to the CCS All-Sportsmanship team.
Jake Estes joins Rudolph and Rogers in being named to the All-CCS First Team. Estes was once again a defensive force for Belhaven on the year starting all 15 matches for the Blazers and finishing the regular season with 1,307 minutes played. Estes partnered with Rogers to form the Belhaven center back pairing that had a role in nine clean sheets on the season.
Wesley Bloodworth was named to the All-CCS Second Team after a strong first full season as a regular in the starting lineup. Bloodworth was impactful for Belhaven's attack scoring three goals and helping out with two assists on the regular season. Bloodworth saw plenty of playing time as he starting all 15 matches and playing a total of 1,000 minutes.
Courtland Williams rounded out the Blazers all conference selections by being named to the All-CCS Second Team in an impressive freshman campaign. Williams made an immediate impact for the Blazers in his debut season as he netted four goals and provided one assist in 15 matches started. Williams finished the regular season on a high note as he tallied three goals in the final two matches for Belhaven.
