ATLANTA, Ga. – Belhaven University volleyball player Paige Broussard was named Collegiate Conference of the South Defensive Player of the Week following her performances on the court this past week. Broussard helped the Blazers capture wins over LaGrange College and Piedmont University. Belhaven took Maryville College five sets, but fell short in the fifth set.

The Niceville, Fla. native played in every set this week for the Blazers and posted 59 digs, one service ace, and 12 assists. On the season, she has totaled 167 digs, 24 assists, one ace, and one kill.

Paige and the rest of the Blazers will return to action on Wednesday, September 28th against Huntingdon College for the Home Opener inside Rugg Arena in Jackson, Miss. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
