RICHARDSON, Texas - The Belhaven University Men's Soccer team swept the American Southwest Conference East Division Player of the Week honors as sophomore goalkeeper
Max Rudolph and sophomore forward
Brady Jacobs were named the Defensive and Co-Offensive Players of the Week.
Max Rudolph earned his first clean sheet of the season in the 1-0 victory over the Louisiana College Wildcats on Saturday, February 27. Rudolph faced ten overall shots with three shots on goal and saved all three. On the season, Rudolph has now faced 26 total shots with 14 shots on goal, saving 12 of the shots. Rudolph carries an 85.7 save percentage for the season. This is also the third time that Rudolph has been named the Defensive Player of the Week by the ASC in his Blazers career as he earned the honor twice in his freshman season on October 7 and November 4.
Brady Jacobs scored the only goal for the Blazers in the 16th minute of the win over the Wildcats. It was the only shot that Jacobs attempted during the match and it is also his first shot and goal of the season for the Blazers.
Rudolph, Jacobs, and the rest of the Blazers will return to action with a road contest against the East Texas Baptist University Tigers on Friday, March 5, at 7:30 p.m.
