Box Score PINEVILLE, La. - The Belhaven University women's soccer team defeated the Louisiana College Wildcats 3-1 on Saturday afternoon in conference play. The Blazers remain undefeated on the year to move to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

Kyla Shaw got the scoring stared for the Green and Gold off of a Free Kick to net the first goal of the match for the Blazers in the 14th minute. Louisiana College even the score at one apiece just before the halftime break. The Blazers regained the lead in the 72' off of a goal scored by Ashley Langham to make the score 2-1. Kyla Shaw added another goal in the 84' to bring the score to 3-1 and her second goal of the match. The Blazers went on to defeat the Wildcats by a final score of 3-1.

As a team, the Blazers had 24 shots in the contest and finished with 16 shots on-goal. Kyla Shaw had two goals in the match, while Ashley Langham had the other goal. Macy Mathers and Pepper Ann Filbert earned assists in the contest. Goalkeeper Lauren Knorr played all 90:00 in goal and only allowed.

The Blazers return to the field on Saturday, March 6 against East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m.
