RICHARDSON, Texas - Kassie Shipley has been named the East Division Pitcher of the Week by the American Southwest Conference on Monday, March 9.

The senior from Winnsboro, Louisiana, pitched a complete game shutout of the Hardin-Simmons University Cowgirls in game two of the Blazers series sweep over the weekend. Shipley allowed eight hits with six strikeouts and one hit-by-pitch during her outing in the circle. On the season, Shipley has pitched 18 innings while appearing in five games, making three starts, with an overall record of 1-1 with one complete game. Shipley has an era of 3.00 allowing eight runs, six earned, on 17 hits with ten strikeouts, four walks, and one hit-by-pitch while opponents have a batting average of .224 against her.
