RICHARDSON, Texas – Junior Libero, Sydney McEachern was named the American Southwest Conference East Division Defensive Player of the Week, following her performance on the court against Louisiana College.
 
McEachern recorded 28 digs in the match against Louisiana College this past Saturday afternoon.  Additionally, she posted three assists and two service aces during the contest.
 
The Keller, Texas native played in 21 matches for the Blazers as a libero so far this season and added 313 digs, which is 4.01 digs per set. She also tallied 54 assists, 22 aces, and 4 kills on the year.
 
McEachern and the rest of the Blazers will return to the court Today, October 29^th against East Texas Baptist University Tigers in Marshall, Texas for the final conference match-up on the season. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m.
