JACKSON, Miss. - The Belhaven women's tennis team faltered in their matchup to Millsaps on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference play, falling 9-0 to the Majors. 

In doubles play Cassidy Ainsworth and Katelyn Head fell to Millsaps #3 doubles duo, Ella Shields and Morgan Jenkins, 8-0. The Blazers #1 doubles combo, Jandayia Lubin and Alexandria Furdge, fell to Ashley Ford and Grace Gaskins, 8-1, and Rutchelyn Elizar and Macey Lea fell to Maggie Dabadie and Jillian Sandoz, 8-3, in the #2 doubles spot for the Blazers.

In singles, Elizar, Lea, and Jabreann Thigpen each fell by a score of 6-0, while both Alexandria Furdge and Macey Lea were able to manage one point each despite falling 6-1 to their respective opponents. In #1 singles, Jandayia Lubin would come up short, 6-2. 

The Green and Gold will return to action on Friday, Feb. 16, taking on Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Ga at 3 pm.
