JACKSON - The Belhaven Men's and Women's Tennis teams both fell in non-conference action on Saturday as they hosted Rhodes at Parham Bridges.
On the Men's side,
Jesus Diaz and
Josiah Leggett took the top doubles spot, falling 6-2 while
Harshith Anugonda and
Briley Oakes fell 6-3 in the No. 2 Doubles spot.
Anugonda competed as the top singles competitor for Belhaven and pushed his top Rhodes opponent to a tiebreak where he was beaten.
Jack Madden joined Anugonda in pushing his Lynx opposition to a tiebreak after winning the first set 6-3, but Madden eventually fell 10-6.
For the Belhaven Women,
Evey Moore and
Millie Gallarno competed in the top doubles spot and picked up a game against Rhodes but were unable to secure a point for the Blazers on the day.
Next up for the Blazers are matches against Holmes Community College which were rescheduled from earlier this month. The Blazers will take on the Bulldogs on Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Parham Bridges.
