SHREVEPORT, La. – The Blazers split their doubleheader on Friday afternoon, defeating Centenary 9-0 before dropping the nightcap to LSU-Alexandria 5-4.
 
In the opening match with the Ladies of Centenary, the Blazers did not allow a point to Centenary for the contest.
 
However, it was a different story in the nightcap against LSU-Alexandria. Belhaven (14-5) took two of three in doubles action. AnneMarie Kimball and Natalia Lopez defeated Sara Andrade and Gisela Amor 8-4, while Ivanne Echezuria and Mary Lichlyter edged Paula Gordilla and Claudia van den Brink, 8-6.
 
Leading 2-1 going into singles, the Generals took four of the six matches to seal the victory. Kimball and Lopez won for the Blazers at No. 1 and No. 3, respectively.
 
Belhaven's regular season will conclude on Saturday in Shreveport, as the Green and Gold will wrap up with Ozarks and Southwestern.
