JACKSON, Miss. - Belhaven women's soccer returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 22 to host ASC opponent Louisiana College. Kickoff inside Belhaven Bowl Stadium is set for 3 p.m.
Belhaven (4-10) is coming off of a very well played match versus a tough Rhodes College squad on Wednesday, taking the Lynx to overtime before ultimately falling 2-1. Rhodes entered Wednesday's match having outscored opponents 37-5, but the Blazers hung tough with the Lynx and nearly came away with a victory.
The Blazers are looking to end a three-game losing streak with the match versus Louisiana College on Saturday.
Louisiana College, meanwhile, is still searching for its first win of the season. The Wildcats own a 0-12-2 mark this season and have lost 11 games in a row.
Louisiana has scored just two goals this season, both of which came in a 2-2 tie versus Millsaps. On the other side of the ball, the Wildcats have allowed opponents to score a conference-high 5.5 goals per game.
Belhavens owns a 7-1 record in the all-time series with the Wildcats. Louisiana College's lone win against the Blazers occurred last season as the Wildcats defeated the Green and Gold 2-1 in Pineville, La.
