JACKSON, Miss. - The Behaven men's soccer team travels to Texas, Tyler on Thursday to face the University of Texas at Tyler and to Clarksville, Ark. on Saturday to take on the University of the Ozarks for its final two road games of the season. Thursday's match with the Patriots kicks off at 7:30 p.m. while Saturday's game versus the Eagles is set for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff.
The Blazers (4-6-1) are coming off of a 2-0 week, earning a 4-0 victory over LeTourneau on Thursday before defeating East Texas Baptist 1-0 on Saturday.
Ryan Thomas scored a goal in each of the Blazers wins while
Kobe Van Someren,
John Dunbar and
Tom Aston added a goal each in the LeTourneau win.
Belhaven has won three of its past five games, allowing just five total goals over that stretch and recording three shutouts.
Texas-Tyler (6-4) is also winners of its past two games, collecting wins over LeTourneau and the Ozarks. The Patriots lead the American Southwest Conference (ASC) in shots per game (17.1) and ranks fourth in goals per game (2.11).
The Ozarks (8-2-2) are coming off of a 2-0 loss to Texas-Tyler, but were victorious in its previous four matches. The Eagles lead the ASC in goals per game (2.9) and assists per game (2.3)
The Blazers return home to wrap up the regular season with three games inside Belhaven Bowl Stadium after this weekend's road trip.
