JACKSON, Miss. – The Belhaven Blazers Women's Soccer team will matchup with the Panthers of Birmingham-Southern in the Magic City on Saturday afternoon.
 
Belhaven (0-2) will look to snap its early two-match losing streak against Birmingham Southern (3-1) at 2:00 p.m.
 
The Blazers currently trail 2-1 in the all-time series, with Belhaven losing the last two matches. This will be the first time since 2000 that these two teams will square off. It will also be the first time in series history that these teams will meet in September. The previous three meetings occurred on October 20, 1997, October 25, 1997 and October 14, 2000. Looking at the state of Alabama, the Blazers are 32-44-4 against intuitions from the Yellowhammer State.
 
Belhaven currently holds an 11-11 mark in non-conference play in its last 22 matches.
 
The Blazers return home on Thursday, September 17 against Mary Hardin-Baylor in the ASC opener. The match is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
