JACKSON, Miss. – The Belhaven women's soccer team gear up for a back-to-back weekend series with East Texas Baptist and LeTourneau on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
Winners of three of their last four, the Blazers (3-5-1) bring a two-match winning streak into the weekend, with the possibility of leaving this Texas swing with a four-match winning streak.
The Blazers this season have totaled four clean sheets. Last season, had only one clean sheet. Since 2010, the Blazers have totaled 18 clean sheets.
East Texas Baptist (2-7, 2-2) will meet Belhaven for the sixth time in program history, with the Blazers up 4-0-1 in the season series. The Blazers, after drawing with the Tigers in 2011, have won the last two meetings.
LeTourneau (5-4, 3-1) will face Belhaven for the first time since 2000. The Blazers have won the only two meetings against the Yellowjackets with similar 6-0 shutouts.
Both matches are scheduled for 1 p.m. kickoffs this weekend.
