Box Score MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Belhaven men's soccer team defeated Hendrix College (Ark.) 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Rhodes Soccer Complex in Memphis. With the victory, the Blazers improved to 2-1-0 on the year, while the Warriors fell to 0-3-1.
"This match was tougher for us offensively than we expected. We had a difficult time breaking them down and creating opportunities to score," Head Coach
Carl Griffiths said. "Creativity and patience in the offensive third is something we know we need to focus on."

th minute for his first goal of the season before assisting teammate
Jose Presti eight minutes later. Belhaven took a 2-0 lead in the half and made it stand for the next 45 minutes.
Warrior goalkeeper Eric Bracy started the contest, but Nathan Myers was the man in front of the net for the second half. Myers saved all five shots the Blazers sent his way, limiting Belhaven to just a pair of goals.
For the second consecutive game, Belhaven prevented their opponent from managing a single shot on goal, giving goalie
Marcelo Mercuri his second shutout in three games. The Blazers outshot Hendrix 22-3, including 9-0 mark on goal, while also taking the edge in corner kicks 9-5.
Belhaven will look to run their win streak to three on Wednesday evening, when they will take on crosstown rival Millsaps College. The match is set to begin at 7:00 pm from Harper Davis Field.
