Big Win Blazers
The Blazers 38-point win over Texas College is the largest win for Belhaven in nearly two years, dating back to 66-10 win at Bluefield College on October 13, 2012.

Four Years Running
Greg Livingston's three touchdown receptions last Saturday was the first three receiving touchdown performance from a Blazer since Cordario Calvin caught three TDs vs Lindsey Wilson on Sept. 18, 2010.

Preston Divvying Up Ball
Junior quarterback Conner Preston was sure to spread out the ball in his debut with the Blazers, connecting with eight different receivers on 36 completions for 305 yards. Preston found seven of his receivers multiple times, including five receivers at least four times.

Can't Touch This
The Blazers Offensive line pitched a shutout in its season opener as the collective group kept the Texas College defense out of the backfield and did not allow the Steers to record a sack in the game. The last time that Belhaven held an opponent without a sack was October 20, 2012 at Lindsey Wilson.

Four Score and 133
Greg Livingston accounted for four touchdowns and 133 yards of total offense in his debut with the Blazers  in the season opener. Livingston finished with 10 catches in the game, his longest totaling 22 yards. His three TD catches were 4,18, and 2 yards respectively. He also added a 39-yard punt return for his fourth touchdown.

Getting After the QB
The Blazers new 3-3-5 defense made a big impact in its debut with the Green and Gold last week. Josh Creech's defense put pressure on the Steers offense, resulting in 12 tackles for a loss, six sacks, a fumble recovery and an interception. Garrett Osborne led the way with seven tackles, including three for a loss. Justin Munoz and Alvin Vaughn each finished with two sacks in the game.

Stopping the Run
Texas College finished with a net rushing yardage of -27 yards in the season opener. It was the first time that a Belhaven defense held an opponent to negative yardage since the Blazers held Faulkner to -3 yards rushing on October 4, 2008.

A Defensive Dream
Justin Munoz completed a defender's dream on Saturday, scoring a touchdown for the Blazers in the first quarter. Munoz had four tackles and two sacks, but his biggest play resulted in six points scooping a fumble and returning it for a touchdown.
