Green and Gold edge Eagles 2-1 in road victory

"We had to hold out several players due to past injuries, forcing us to rely heavily on other players," Head Coach Carl Griffiths said. "Some guys had to play more minutes than normal, but our fitness held up well and we got the desired result. I'm pleased with our performance overall."

Cillian Thompson got the Blazers (10-5-0, 3-4-0 SSAC) on the scoreboard first, just six minutes into the game, after an assist from Jose Presti.

Jeff Ransom found Alex Stutts in the 89th minute to cut the deficit in half for the Eagles (5-7-2, 1-5-1 SSAC), but the home team failed to get another shot on goal. With the victory, Belhaven remained unbeaten in the all-time series, which now stands at 5-0-0
.
Daniel Prado recorded three saves in the net for the Blazers, while Pritchard Ndaira and Diego Da Silva combined to save nine Belhaven shots. The Blazers out shot the hosts 23-19, including a 10-4 mark on frame, while also taking a slight 9-8 edge in set pieces.

The Blazers will take the field for the final time in the regular season on Saturday, when they will square off with Middle Georgia State College. The match is set to begin in 1:00 pm from Cochran, Georgia.
