Box Score 2 SHREVEPORT, La. – The Belhaven volleyball team split their final two non-conference matches in a tri-match hosted by Centenary College on Tuesday evening. The first match saw the Blazers sweep Jarvis Christian College (TX.) 3-0, whilte the Blazers fell 3-1 to the host in the second match of the evening.
"I don't feel as though we played our best in the second match tonight," said head coach

The Blazers outplayed the Bulldogs both offensively and defensively in match one.
Blaykleigh Smythe and
Taylor Hall led Belhaven's attack with seven and six kills respectively, while
Alyson Plyler aided the offense with a floor high of 13 assists on the evening.
Kelly Aholt contributed 12 assists of her own.
Jackie Rhyne pced the Blazers in digs all night, and led the court with 19 digs in match one.
Jackie Gunderson added 12 digs of her own.
Chae Levy and Smythe protected the net, tallying one solo block apiece.
Although the Ladies won by two sets in match two, both teams tallied similar numbers on the evening. Centenary finished with just one more total attack than Belhaven (120), and totaled a slightly better hitting percentage than the Blazers (.258).
Hall continued to lead the offensive attack Belhaven with 14 kills, which was matched by only Centenary's Rachel Perkins (14) on the night.
Molly Boyer and Gunderson added seven and five kills each.
Plyler and Aholt set the way for Belhaven, as they each contributed 15 assists in match two.
Abbey Herman finished the match unblemished with a 1.000 hitting percentage on the match.
Rhyne and Gunderson paced the Blazers in digs with 10 and nine respectively.
The Blazers host conference opponent Dalton State on Friday, in what will be Senior Night for the Blazers. The first serve is set for 7:00 pm.
