MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Megan LaCour put down a match-high 12 kills without an attack error, but Belhaven fell to Huntingdon in straight sets Tuesday night at Catherine Dixon Roland Arena.

The Hawks won 25-19, 25-19, 25-20 to take both regular-season meetings. Belhaven (11-13) and Huntingdon (8-14) each finished 6-6 in CCS play.

Belhaven answered with seven consecutive points of its own, cutting a 19-10 deficit to 19-17 behind three Angel Edwards aces and a Tarryn Woodall kill. The Blazers were still within two at 20-18, but Huntingdon took five of the final six points.

Belhaven led 3-1 in the second before Huntingdon scored seven straight. Morgan Suggs had three kills during the run, and A'Kirra McElveen added a kill and a solo block. A Kayla Robinson ace brought the Blazers to 11-10, but the Hawks later turned a 13-11 lead into an 18-11 cushion. Huntingdon hit .394 with 18 kills in the set, and Salome De Jesus put away the final point after Belhaven saved three set points.

The Blazers made one more push in the third. Down 24-17, Belhaven got back-to-back kills from LaCour and Woodall before LaCour served an ace to make it 24-20. Suggs ended the match on the next rally with her 10th kill.
