Live Stats and Audio: Listen Live and follow live stats at blazers.belhaven.edu.

Coaches: Joe Thrasher (Belhaven-5th Season), Chris Elliott (Bethel-1st Season)

Series vs. Bethel (Blazers Trail 7-6): Belhaven trails Bethel 7-6 in the all time series that dates back to 1998. The schools have played every year since 1998 with the exception of the 2000 and 2001 campaigns. The Blazers are looking for their first win against Bethel since the 2009 season. Belhaven defeated the Wildcats that year 21-13 at H.T. Newell Field.

Quick Stats: Due in large part to the play of quarterback Ian McGinnis over the last few games, the Belhaven offense ranks 24th in the nation in total pass offense. The Blazers have now generated 2,154 total yards through the air this season. Defensive back Justin Mims is 13th in the nation in passes defended per game (1.3) and punter Curtis Westerfield is 18th in the country in yards per kick (41.2).

Player to Watch: The player to watch this week is senior wide receiver Justin Kenyon. Like McGinnis, Kenyon had a career game last week with 11 receptions for 208 yards and two touchdowns. The tandem of Kenyon and McGinnis has created havoc for opposing defenses in the final weeks of the season.

Tale of the Tape: Belhaven has the edge offensively on the stat sheet this week. The Blazers are averaging 364.5 yards per game in total offense compared to 264.4 yards generated each week by the Wildcats. Broken down between the run and pass the stats favor Belhaven 149.1-134.1 YPG on the ground and 215.4-130.3 YPG through the air.

Key to the Contest: Belhaven's offense will need to continue to click against a tough Bethel defense, especially when it comes to the passing game. The Wildcats are 16th in the nation in pass defense limiting opponents to 169 yards per game. Junior defensive back Stoney Burns leads the nation in interceptions with seven. McGinnis and Kenyon will have to play well again in order to move the ball and put points on the board.
