Series vs. Cumberland (Series tied 6-6): This will be the 13th meeting between the Blazers and Tigers.

Home Cooking: Saturday's game will be the second played in the friendly confines of H.T. Newell Field this season. Although the Blazers lost their home opener, the team has enjoyed the home field advantage over the past three plus season. Belhaven is 11-7 during that stretch, including a 5-1 record at home in 2011.

Quick Stats: The offense enters the weekend averaging 357 yards per game and is evolving into the balanced attack that the coaching staff envisioned heading into the season. The Blazers are picking up 182 yards on the ground and 175 yards through air. They have a slight edge in total yards over opponents who average 352.7 yards per game.

The National Stage: Senior kicker James “Bo” Bryan hit the national stage this week by being selected as the Mid-South Conference and NAIA National Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against Cumberland.

Bryan, a native of Saucier, Miss., drilled three field goals, including a career long 51 yarder, in Belhaven's 36-30 overtime loss to Cumberland. Bryan's other two field goals covered 41 and 37 yards. Bryan has also assumed the punting duties this season and on Saturday produced three punts for an average of 42 yards per punt. One of the kicks landed inside the Bulldog 20 yard line. Bryan is ranked in the top 10 nationally at the NAIA level in punt yards per attempt (46.8), field goals per game (1.3) and total field goals (4). Bryan leads the MSC in punting average and is tied for the league lead in total field goals.

It's the first National Player of the Week award for the football program since the 2006 season when wide receiver Phoenix Thompson was named the NAIA Offensive Player of the Week. Thompson won the award twice that year.

Tale of the Tape: On paper, Belhaven has the edge when it comes to the offensive side of the ball. Campbellsville is averaging 279 yards per game in total yards with a breakdown of 130.7 yards on the ground and 148 yards through the air. Each team has committed six turnovers through the first three weeks of the year. The Tigers defense is surrendering 365.3 yards per game to opponents.
