Cleveland TN- The Belhaven women's Volleyball team was defeated by Lee University and Trevecca Nazarene University Saturday at the Lee University Tournament. The Blazers were beaten by Lee University in three sets with the final scores of 17-25, 8-25, and 8-25. Trevecca Nazarene University topped the Blazers in three sets with the final scores of 18-25, 19-25, and 15-25. The two losses put the Blazers at 6-5 on the season.

It was a tough morning and afternoon as the Blazers took on Lee University in their first match followed by Trevecca Nazarene in the second match. The Blazers were led by Christina Atwood against Lee University with 7 kills followed by Erinn Hampton with 5 kills. Erin Bradley led the Blazers with 9 digs followed by Katherine Owen with 7. As a team the Blazers clocked in 22 kills and 30 digs on the night.

Christina Jaques led the Blazers against Trevecca Nazarene University with 10 kills followed by Atwood and Huddleston with 6 each. Erin Bradley recorded 23 assists and 12 digs on the night. As a team the Blazers turned in 33 kills and 39 digs.

Catch the Blazers back in action in their home opener on September 14, at Rugg Arena against Tougaloo College. The game is slated to get underway at 7:00 PM.
