Jackson, MS- The Belhaven University women's soccer team hosted William Carey University at H.T. Newell Field for their last home game and senior night. The Blazers honored 2010 seniors

Katie Alderman prior to the game. Unfortunately, night ended in a loss with the Crusaders defeating the Blazers 2-0. The game wraps up the 2010 season as the Blazers finish with a record of 1-13-1 overall and 0-5 in the SSAC.
William Carey University (11-3-3, SSAC 3-1-1) outshot the Blazers 24-6 with 11 shots on goal and two scores. The Blazers hung tough the entire first half and went into halftime tied 0-0. In the second half the Crusaders scored their first goal a little under four minutes off the foot of Tori McDevitt at the 49:56 minute mark. William Carey's next goal didn't come till late in the second half in the 87th minute when Ashton Wells found the back of the net off an assist by Courtney Brinson.
Christin Kaim led the Blazers in shots with three while
Kelli Brewer got the start at the net for the Blazers and clocked all 90 minutes with nine saves. The loss in net by Brewer dropped her record to 0-8 this season. Natalia Nino led the Crusaders in shots with six and had one on goal. Jackie DeNova started in the net turning in all 90 minutes making while making one save which carries her season record to 11-3-3.
Belhaven did not qualify for post season play and therefore their season came to a close on Saturday night.
