Dallas, TX-The Belhaven women's soccer team travels to Dallas, TX on Tuesday for the opening round of the NAIA Unaffiliated Tournament. The Blazers will battle Bellevue University (Neb.) at Noon with the winner advancing to face William Carey University in the semifinals on Wednesday.
Belhaven is 7-6-3 overall and finished second in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference regular season standings. The Blazers lost in the semifinals of the GCAC Tournament to the University of Mobile, but earned an at large bid as the number five seed to the NAIA Unaffiliated Tournament.
Bellevue is 13-6 overall and earned an automatic bid after defeating the College of St. Mary in the championship game of the MCAC Tournament. The Bruins are the fourth seed in the tournament.
The tournament field consists of six teams from the GCAC, MCAC, DAC, and Frontier Conferences. The tournament bracket can be viewed by clicking here.
