Huntsville, AL-Shots were hard to come by Saturday afternoon, but the Blazers made their lone goal stand up as they defeated the University of Alabama-Huntsville 1-0. Belhaven remains unbeaten on the season moving their record to 6-0-1 while UAM falls to 0-8-0. The Blazers were ranked 23^rd in the latest NAIA top 25 poll.

 

Neither team would score in the opening period as both defenses were able to keep each other in check. Each team only managed one shot through the first 45 minutes of action. In the 54^th minute Belhaven's Juan Rodriguez would break the scoreless tie connecting on his team leading 5^th goal of the season. Zach Wallace played all 90 minutes in net for the Blazers chalking up three saves for the shutout win.

 

Belhaven returns to the field Tuesday evening when they host Central Baptist University at H.T. Newell field beginning at 6.
