The Belhaven women's soccer team improved to 5-0 with a 2-1 victory over Brenau (GA) University Saturday afternoon. Neither team would score until the second period when Brenau's Lily Futrell found the back of the net in the 55
th minute. It didn't take long for the Lady Blazers to answer because 55 seconds later
Sarah Benson would score the first of her two goals to tie the score at 1-1.
Christin Kaim picked up the assist on the goal by Benson.
In the 78th minute Belhaven took the lead and never looked back as Benson scored an unassisted goal which proved to be the game winner. Benson now has three goals to her credit on the season.

Kristin Parson had five saves to help secure the victory for the Lady Blazers. Belhaven resumes play Friday night as they travel down the road to Millsaps for an 8 PM start time.
