Pulaski, TN-The Belhaven men's soccer team struggled on the road Tuesday night falling to Martin Methodist College 4-1. The Blazers, who are ranked 22^nd in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll, have lost two of their last three games to drop to 14-2-1 on the season. Martin Methodist who received votes in the latest top 25 poll is now 9-3.

 

Fernando Barbeiro scored the first two Martin Methodist Goals in minute 36 and 40. They ended up being the only scores for either team in the first half. The Blazers got on the board in the 51^st minute when Juan Rodriguez netted his team leading 16^th goal of the season to make it 2-1. Sergei Yepishin was credited with his first assist of the year. Unfortunately that's all the offense Belhaven could muster. Martin Methodist tacked on two more insurance goals in the second half to pull away for the 4-1 win.

 

Belhaven was limited by Martin Methodist to just six total shots and only three shots on goal. However, Martin Methodist fired 16 shots, seven of which were on goal. Belhaven Goalkeeper Zach Wallace made three saves as he suffered just his second loss of the season.
