Belhaven senior men's tennis player Rene Ramos was named the C Spire Athlete of the Week, following his performances at the Spring TennisFest in Hilton Head Island, S.C. 

Ramos went 5-0 over the Spring Break trip in South Carolina, earning three No. 1 singles wins and two wins at the No. 1 doubles spot.

The Morelia, Mexico native leads the American Southwest Conference (ASC) in singles wins this season with a perfect 10-0 mark. Ramos is also 7-1 in doubles play on the year.

The Belhaven men's tennis team currently sits at 5-5 on the season. The Green and Gold was ranked No. 8 in the latest National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Top 10 Poll.

Ramos and the rest of the Blazers return to the courts Saturday, March 25, taking on Jackson State at 9 a.m. and Tougaloo College at 3 p.m.
