One of this weeks "Cellular South Athletes of the Week" is Nathaniel Roche' of the men's basketball team. Roche', a senior forward from New Orleans, LA, had another solid week for the Blazers who went 2-1 against ranked teams this past week. Roche' notched his seventh double double of the season against 9th ranked Xavier University (LA) thanks to a game high 17 points and 12 rebounds. Roche’ had 19 points and nine rebounds against College of the Ozarks (18th in NAIA Division II) and also tossed in 17 points and had nine more rebounds against Bellevue University (Neb) (9th NAIA Division II). Roche' is second on the team in scoring at 14.1 points per night and leads Belhaven on the boards with 9.6 rebounds per contest. He also added four more blocked shots this past week and has a total of 31 this season. Roche' was also named the Southern States Athletic Conference Player of the Week for his efforts.
