Jackson, MS-The Belhaven football team will embark on the 2010 season on Saturday night when they travel to Tyler, TX to battle the Texas College Steers. The Blazers are coming off a 2009 campaign which saw the team finish 6-5 overall and placed second in the Mid-South Conference Western Division at 4-2.

Texas College had a rough year in 2009 as the Steers went winless in 10 games last season. Belhaven has met up with Texas College two previous times with the last showdown coming in 2007. The Blazers came away with a 55-43 win avenging a 37-34 defeat at the hands of the Steers in 2006.
