Jackson, MS-The Belhaven women’s soccer team lost a tough match to the University of Mobile on Thursday night in the semifinals of the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference 1-0 in OT at H.T. Newell Field. The Blazers outshot Mobile 13 -9 in the match and had a 7-1 edge in shots in the second half, but couldn’t muster a score on goalkeeper Anna Maddox.

Jackson, MS-The Belhaven football team is making their final preparations for this weekend’s homecoming game against Shorter College at H.T. Newell Field. Belhaven owns a 3-1 series lead over the Hawks with their only loss in the series being a 35-0 setback last season. The two teams first met in the 2005 season when the Blazers came away with a 45-38 victory.

The Blazers grabbed an early lead only to see Wesley battle back to take a second half advantage before Belhaven put together a late second half surge to secure the win.

Jackson, TN-The Belhaven football team lost for the first time in Mid-South Conference Western Division play Saturday afternoon at 5th ranked Lambuth University 54-16. The Blazers were able to stay with the Eagles early down by just 12 points at 28-16 at halftime. However, Lambuth exploded for four unanswered touchdowns in the second half to pull away for the victory.
