Ashton Hartley

Ashton Hartley enters her 4th season as Head Coach of both the Belhaven Men’s and Women’s Tennis teams.

A native of Clinton, Mississippi, Hartley joins the Blazers’ staff following a year as the men’s and women’s assistant coach at Hinds Community College in Raymond.

Before Hinds, Hartley coached for multiple prestigious tennis academies. From 2017 to 2018, Hartley taught for Cliff Drysdale Tennis Management Company in Miami, FL at the Ritz-Carlton and coached at Carrollton Academy while serving as the Tennis Director at Glen Eagle Golf and Country Club and Head Women’s Coach at Seacrest Country Day School. While at Seacrest, her team made history, becoming District Champs for the first time in school history.

In 2012 Hartley taught tennis for a worldwide tennis management company PBI (Peter Burwash International), leading to Naples, FL, coaching at Ritz Carlton Beach Resort and Waldorf Astoria.

After coaching in Florida, Ashton made her way back to Mississippi, where she coached independently at the Reservoir Family YMCA in Flowood.

During college, Hartley earned her Professional Tennis Registry and taught tennis during the summers of 2008 and 2007 at Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chappell, FL, and Van Der Meer Tennis Academy in Hilton Head, SC.

Hartley was a distinguished player as she played a Meridian Community College from 2007-2009, where she helped lead her team to back-to-back state titles to advance to the national tournament, where they placed in the top ten each season. After MCC, Hartley transferred to Southeast Missouri State University and competed in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Hartley earned her Bachelor’s degree from Southeast Missouri University in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sports Management. She also holds a Master's degree in Sports Administration from Belhaven University.
