JACKSON, Miss. - Maggie Joy Tomlin was named CCS Setter of the Week for the third time this season, while Kayla Robinson collected her second CCS Defensive Player of the Week award and freshman Laila Gauthier completed the trio as the conference's Rookie of the Week.

Belhaven finished the week with wins over Berea and Asbury, highlighted by a reverse sweep of the Eagles that gave the Blazers their first victory in the all-time series.

Tomlin continued to direct the Belhaven offense, totaling 129 assists across 17 sets. The sophomore recorded at least 40 assists twice, finishing with 49 in a five-set match against Huntingdon and 40 in the Blazers' four-set win at Berea.

Tomlin also made a difference from the service line, leading Belhaven with 15 aces during the week. She delivered a season-high nine aces against Berea, including six in the fourth set as the Blazers closed the match with a 25-10 victory.

In Belhaven's reverse sweep win at Asbury, Tomlin posted a double-double with 27 assists and 11 digs while adding two aces. She followed with another double-double against Spalding, finishing with 13 assists and 11 digs.

Through 14 matches, the Watkinsville, Georgia, native has recorded 410 assists and is averaging 7.88 per set. She also leads Belhaven with 33 service aces and has contributed 105 digs, 29 kills and seven total blocks.

Tomlin has now received three of the first four CCS Setter of the Week awards this season.

Robinson anchored the Belhaven defense with 97 digs during the four-match stretch, averaging 5.71 per set. The senior libero reached 20 digs in three matches and finished the week with 17 assists.

Robinson opened the week with 27 digs against Huntingdon before collecting 26 in the win over Berea. She then produced a match-high 28 digs as Belhaven rallied from a two-set deficit to defeat Asbury.

The Prairieville, Louisiana, native has accumulated 278 digs this season and is averaging 5.35 per set. She has also recorded 51 assists and 14 service aces while serving as the centerpiece of a Belhaven defense that has totaled 798 digs.

Robinson previously earned CCS Defensive Player of the Week honors on September 14 after recording 57 digs during a perfect 3-0 week for the Blazers.

Gauthier provided steady production at the net, finishing the week with 42 kills on a .231 hitting percentage. The freshman averaged 2.47 kills per set and added six total blocks.

The Opelousas, Louisiana, native reached double figures in kills three times, finishing with 13 against Huntingdon, 11 at Berea and a team-high 10 in the reverse-sweep victory over Asbury. She closed the week with eight kills on a .278 hitting percentage against Spalding, again leading the Blazers.

For the season, Gauthier has 91 kills and is averaging 2.07 per set. She ranks third on the team in kills and has added 17 total blocks while appearing in 44 sets during her first collegiate campaign.

Belhaven returns to Rugg Arena on Friday, October 2, when the Blazers host Agnes Scott in CCS action at 5:30 p.m.
