ATLANTA, Ga. - The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) announced its first softball weekly honors of the 2026 season on Monday, and Belhaven made a clean sweep of the awards following a strong opening week.
Junior
Kaleigh Steverson was named CCS Player of the Week, while fellow junior
Gracey Harbour earned Pitcher of the Week honors. Freshman
AR Sharp rounded out the accolades for the Blazers, being selected as Rookie of the Week. It marks the first set of CCS Softball Player of the Week awards for the 2026 campaign.
Steverson anchored the Belhaven offense in a doubleheader sweep of LeTourneau, turning in an efficient day at the plate. The junior first baseman finished 4-for-7 with a double and an RBI, posting a .571 batting average and a .714 slugging percentage.
Harbour earned Pitcher of the Week honors after a strong showing in the circle during the series opener. The junior worked three scoreless innings in relief in Game One, allowing no runs while helping Belhaven maintain control of the contest and secure the win. Her effort provided stability out of the bullpen and preserved the shutout performance.
Sharp made an immediate impact in her first collegiate action, earning CCS Rookie of the Week recognition. The freshman pitcher appeared in relief in both games against LeTourneau, allowing no hits or runs while striking out two batters. Sharp recorded the save in the opening game before picking up the win in the nightcap, showcasing poise and effectiveness in key moments.
The Blazers are back in action later this week as they head to No. 9 East Texas Baptist on Friday for a doubleheader. First pitch is set for 4:00 PM.
